Transmutation

Reclamation

Ingredients:

Ginger

Sage

Dandelion Leaf

Nettle

Rosemary

Psilocybin Mushrooms

Affirmation: I honor what has ended & rise transformed from everything I have survived.

Phoenix Rising is a seasonal blend inspired by rebirth, resilience & the process of rebuilding ourselves after experiences that have profoundly changed us.

The Phoenix does not rise from the ashes unchanged. Its symbolism represents the courage to move forward after endings, upheaval & transformation, carrying the wisdom of what we have experienced without remaining confined to who we once were.

Each ingredient was intentionally selected for its botanical characteristics, traditional associations & symbolic relationship with movement, discernment, persistence, fortification, direction & transformation.

Phoenix Rising is not about returning to who we were before the fire. It is about discovering what deserves to rise with us.

Ginger: Movement • Warmth • Momentum

Ginger has a long history of traditional use as a warming, invigorating botanical associated with digestion, circulation & vitality. It represents movement & the courage to begin again, reminding us that rebuilding does not require having every answer or knowing exactly where we are going. Sometimes renewal begins with a single decision, a new boundary or one intentional step forward.

Affirmation: I awaken the warmth within me & allow my energy to move forward with purpose.

Sage: Discernment • Cleansing • Clarity

Sage has a long history of culinary, medicinal & ceremonial use, with traditional associations surrounding wisdom, purification, protection & clarity. It represents discernment & the intentional release of what no longer belongs, encouraging us to recognize which relationships, beliefs, habits & patterns deserve a place in the life we are rebuilding. We can honor what once supported us without carrying everything from our past into our future.

Affirmation: I clear what clouds my perception & create space to recognize what truly belongs to me.

Dandelion Leaf: Persistence • Nourishment • Belonging

Dandelion Leaf has a long history as both food & traditional herbal medicine. Known for its remarkable ability to grow in disturbed environments, Dandelion has become a powerful symbol of persistence & adaptability. It represents resilience & the ability to find new places to flourish, reminding us that growth can emerge even when the landscape of our lives has changed. Beginning again does not mean forcing ourselves back into familiar circumstances. Sometimes resilience means discovering where the person we have become can finally thrive.

Affirmation: I continue seeking the places where I am able to grow.

Nettle: Fortification • Nourishment • Boundaries

Nettle is a mineral-rich botanical with a long history of traditional use as food, fiber & herbal medicine. Its distinctive sting also gives it strong symbolic associations with protection & boundaries. It represents fortification & the intentional protection of what we are rebuilding, reminding us that becoming stronger does not require becoming hardened. We can establish boundaries that protect our growth while remaining open to meaningful connection, new experiences & opportunities.

Affirmation: I fortify what matters without becoming hardened by the world.

Rosemary: Direction • Remembrance • Intention

Rosemary has centuries of culinary, medicinal, ceremonial & folkloric history, with traditional associations surrounding remembrance, fidelity, purification & protection. It represents direction & the wisdom we carry forward, encouraging us to remember what we have learned while consciously choosing where we go next. Rebirth does not require forgetting our experiences or abandoning every part of our former selves. We can preserve what remains meaningful without allowing the past to determine our future.

Affirmation: I remember who I am & move with intention.

Psilocybin: Transformation • Introspection • Mystery

Psilocybin-containing mushrooms have a history of ceremonial & spiritual use in certain Mesoamerican traditions & are increasingly studied for their effects on perception, cognition & psychological experience. They represent transformation & the exploration of who we are becoming, reflecting the potential for psychedelic experiences to invite reflection on familiar identities, attachments, beliefs & patterns that may no longer serve the lives we wish to cultivate. Their symbolic role emphasizes the importance of approaching change with curiosity, patience & self-awareness, recognizing that transformation does not always arrive with immediate clarity. Rebirth does not require romanticizing suffering, forcing ourselves to move forward before we are ready or believing that every painful experience must have a greater purpose. Sometimes transformation simply means recognizing that something has changed & allowing ourselves the freedom to respond differently.

Affirmation: I enter with intention, remain open to what arises & allow understanding to unfold beyond what I expected.

The Intention Behind Phoenix Rising

Together, these ingredients represent 6 complementary aspects of renewal:

Movement without urgency.
Discernment without rejection.
Persistence without force.
Fortification without hardening.
Direction without attachment to the past.
Transformation without erasure.

Each ingredient contributes its own history, characteristics & symbolic associations, creating a formulation centered around resilience, intentional change & the process of rebuilding a meaningful relationship with ourselves after transformation.

The Phoenix does not rise from the ashes to recreate exactly what existed before.

Phoenix Rising represents the understanding that we can honor who we were, carry forward what we have learned & still give ourselves permission to become someone we have never been before.
